It is our pleasure to introduce to you the 2​​017 New Jersey School Counselor Association Awards. The deadline to apply for all awards is March 15, 2017. Applications are available on the NJSCA website:
NJSCA 2017 Awards

NJSCA Middle School Award:
Middle school counselors can nominate middle school students (grades 6, 7 or 8). Students are required to submit an essay asking them to elaborate on how their School Counselor will help them achieve their hopes and dreams for the future. Please the see link below for an application:

NJSCA High School Award:
High school counselors can nominate current high school seniors. The student must be a New Jersey resident, a 2017 graduate of a New Jersey high school and have been accepted/plan to enroll in a post secondary institution. Students are required to write a 300-500 word essay describing how a school counselor has influenced his/her life in a positive way. Please the see link below for an application:

NJSCA Human Rights Advocate Award:
NJSCA will be awarding a New Jersey School Counselor in any level. Candidate should be one who leads by example and actively engages in activities that promote human rights for all. Perhaps you know a school counselor who has organized a club or a focus group, led a workshop or community event, or developed lessons advocating human rights or a school counselor who has planned activities that encourage interaction between racial and ethnic groups, promoted dialogue about social issues, or provided tolerance education training.
